The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops annually releases numerous official documents, come under the form of decrees, other as public statements, pastoral letters, or briefs.

Along with the official texts from the CCCB, this section also includes those published by the Catholic Organization for Life and Family (COLF), a organization co-founded by the CCCB.

Only a few documents published before 1996, the year that the CCCB website launched, can be read in this section.

CCCB PUBLICATIONS 

Through its Publications Service the CCCB makes available a full range of Church values and beliefs concerning both traditional teachings and contemporary events.

As an in house service, Publications enables the Conference to distribute quality material of catechetical, liturgical and pastoral significance while maintaining editorial autonomy and financial independence from market driven trends.

Publications Service support the ethical concerns identified by the bishops by contracting with sheltered workshops and by working with printers who advocate ecological responsibility and fair labour practices.

At times, the CCCB publishes texts on a given topic. Texts are then compiled in a special file that presents the CCCB’s decisions or analysis, commentaries and reflections.

ARCHIVES

This section of the site compiles all documents published by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.

The internet user will find, among other things, all releases, public statements, allocutions and reports that have been made public during the CCCB Annual Plenary Assemblies or during the Bishops’ Synods that were attended by CCCB members.
