Following remarks by Mr Michael Ignatieff, Leader of the Official Opposition, which have been reported to be in support of abortion becoming part of Canadian government policy, Most Reverend Pierre Morissette, President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, has written a letter to Mr Ignatieff, indicating the position of the Catholic Bishops of Canada on abortion.
