The Episcopal Commission for Catechesis – English Sector:
- Promotes and directs faith education, in collaboration with the Regional Episcopal Assemblies;
- Studies questions relative to faith education and provides vision and concrete support for catechetical activity;
- In the English sector, the National Office of Religious Education develops and publishes catechetical resources and provides seminars, workshops, in-service and pre-service to people at every level of catechetical ministry.

Dr. Glenn Byer is Director of the Publications Service of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops. He holds a doctoral degree in liturgy from the Pontifical Institute of San’ Anselmo, Rome.
