Goldbloom VictorThe Most Reverend Douglas Crosby, O.M.I., Bishop of Hamilton and President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), has written to Mr. David J. Cape, President of the Board of Directors of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, following the death of Dr. Victor Goldbloom. In his letter, Bishop Crosby recalls that "The significance of his contributions to Jewish and Christian relations was celebrated in a special way during 2012 when Pope Benedict XVI named Dr. Goldbloom a Knight of the Order of Saint Sylvester, in recognition of his outstanding leadership in promoting Jewish-Christian dialogue and understanding." The CCCB was officially represented at Dr. Goldbloom's funeral on February 19, 2016, by the Most Reverend Christian Lépine, Archbishop of Montreal and an ex officio member of the Conference's Permanent Council.

The colours of the web site represent the official heraldic insignia of Bishops. The green corresponds to the galero (ecclesiastical hat) and six tassels on each side that make up the crest and supporters of the coat of arms of each Bishop while the gold represents the processional cross.
