Ordination of new Auxiliary Bishop of Saint-Jean-Longueuil

Hamelin Claude-webThe ordination of the Most Reverend Claude Hamelin as Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Saint-Jean-Longueuil will take place on Friday, March 18, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., in Saint-Jean-l'Évangéliste Cathedral, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. The Most Reverend Lionel Gendron, P.S.S., Bishop of Saint-Jean-Longueuil and Vice President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, will preside. The Apostolic Nuncio, the Most Reverend Luigi Bonazzi, will be present, together with a number of other Canadian Bishops. At the time of his appointment on December 22, 2015, Bishop Hamelin was Vicar General of the Diocese of Saint-Jean-Longueuil.
