Vivre et Celebrer-Hiver 2016On November 15, 2016, the Office national de liturgie of the French Sector of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) published the first electronic issue of its liturgical publication Vivre et célébrer. This new electronic format provides more flexibility in the presentation of the articles, permits the use of interactive elements to facilitate reading, and reaches a greater number of readers as the subscription is now free of charge. As was the case with the print version, Vivre et célébrer continues to be a source of reflection and formation in liturgical and sacramental life. Its target readership remains those active in the area of liturgy as well as those who wish to deepen their faith through this pastoral dimension. Each issue has a theme, providing a portfolio of articles and fact sheets on liturgical practice, together with chronicles, reviews and information from various ecclesial organizations.

The new electronic format follows a tradition of five decades. The first Bulletin national de liturgie appeared in 1965, in the wake of the Second Vatican Council's liturgical reforms. The objective at first was to make the official documents of the Church on the liturgy better known. This objective was transformed in 1986. In order to reflect its new and broader mandate, the name was changed to Liturgie, foi et culture. In 2007, the quarterly print version changed its approach and format format, and took on the title Vivre et célébrer. It was published in print format until the fall of 2016. The electronic format replaces the print version with the issue for winter 2016-2017.
