serge-langlois-webThe Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace / Caritas Canada (CCODP) announced on 30 January 2017 the appointment of Mr. Serge Langlois as its new Executive Director. After the confirmation of his appointment by the CCODP National Council, Mr. Langlois stated: "I am pleased to join this organization whose vision and values are dear to me. Our thousands of members, donors, partners and employees form a movement of solidarity, united around our shared values of social justice and international solidarity. On the strength of the support of the Catholic Church in Canada for the past 50 years, we will continue to offer a voice to the poorest and most vulnerable populations in order to respond to the social inequalities and injustices in the world." As has been its practice since being founded by the Bishops of Canada in 1967, CCODP appoints its Executive Directors in consultation with the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops.
