Pope Francis receives Ontario Catholic Bishops in audience

Ad limina 2017-Ontario-1-webThe members of the Assembly of Catholic Bishops of Ontario are making their Ad limina visit, 24 to 29 April 2017, a few weeks after the visit by the Bishops from Atlantic which preceded the visit by the Bishops of Western Canada. On the second day of their visit, the Ontario Bishops were received in a private audience by Pope Francis, during which they had the opportunity to present an overview of the life of the Church in their pastoral region. The Most Reverend Ronald P. Fabbro, C.S.B., Bishop of London, is the President of the Assembly of Catholic Bishops of Ontario. The next and final regional group of Bishops from Canada to make its Ad limina visit will be the Assembly of Quebec Catholic Bishops, 2 to 12 May 2017.
