collinsThe Archdiocese of Toronto has recently published a media release detailing the negative impact of the current Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) policy on services and programs in the Archdiocese of Toronto. In addition, His Eminence Thomas Cardinal Collins, Archbishop of Toronto, has released a letter in which he introduces an online fundraising campaign which the Archdiocese of Toronto has initiated to cover the shortfall resulting from rejected CSJ applications and invites pastors and parishioners to contact their local MPs to express their deep concern with the new policy. Following the Cardinal's invitation, more than 3,000 letters have been sent to MPs via the link provided in his letter to a special website, Save Summer Jobs.
