Right Reverend Bruce Stavert
Bishop of Quebec
31 rue des Jardins
Quebec City, Qc G1R 4L6

Your Excellency:

Most Reverend Maurice Couture, Archbishop of Quebec, and Douglas Crosby, OMI, Bishop of Labrador City - Schefferville, join me in asking you to convey to the Anglican faithful in Kangiqsualujjuaq our prayers and condolences on the recent avalanche that struck their village with such tragedy.

Please assure the families of the bereaved, their friends and the entire community that the Roman and Ukrainian Catholic Bishops of Canada, together with all their brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the Church in Canada, are remembering them and their departed.

May the light of the Epiphany guide the people of Kangiqsualujjuaq in this dark moment of pain and loss.

Fraternally yours in Christ,

+ Jean-Claude Cardinal Turcotte
