(CCCB – Ottawa) The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) has just published its Directory 2004.

This annual bilingual publication contains a wealth of information about the Conference. Two sections provide data on the bishops and dioceses of Canada while another section outlines the structure of the CCCB, the members of the Executive Committee, Permanent Council and Commissions.

The 84-page booklet also offers useful information about the Vatican and the Holy Father, the Apostolic Nunciature in Canada, regional episcopal conferences, diocesan statistics, and a list of bishops representing the CCCB on national associations and assisting the Holy See.

Directory 2004 is available for $12.95 (taxes and shipping not included). Founded in 1943 and officially recognized by the Holy See in 1948, the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) is the national association of Canada’s bishops. The CCCB supports the bishops in their work by providing resource persons and specialists in different areas such as ecumenism, theology, liturgy, social affairs, Christian education and communications. The CCCB is involved in matters of national and international scope and provides the bishops a forum where they can share their experience and insight on the life of the Church and the major events that shape our society.
