IEC 2008 logoFrom 15 to 22 June 15 2008, Canada will host the 49th International Eucharistic Congress in Quebec City. Fifteen thousand participants within Canada and abroad are expected to attend this major ecclesial event, in addition to thousands of others who will take part in public activities surrounding the Congress.

Catholics from all parts of Canada are invited to become Congress partners, first of all by taking advantage of this opportunity to renew their faith in the Eucharist, and secondly by helping to fund the numerous activities included in the program. A special collection will take place in Canadian churches on the weekend of the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ, June 9 and 10, 2007.

It goes without saying that the Congress organizers are counting on the generosity of the faithful to ensure the success of this gathering whose spiritual fruits will most certainly have a positive effect on the life of the Church in Canada.

In addition to donations made during the national collection, cheques written to the order of the International Eucharistic Congress Quebec 2008 may be sent directly to: 1073 René-Lévesque Ouest, Quebec City, QC G1S 4R5.
