COLF_WorkshopThe Catholic Organization for Life and Family publishes online a new resource entitled "Life in the Balance: Workshop on Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide".

This downloadable workshop guide is an ideal complement to the popular brochure "Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide: Urgent Questions".

The workshop guide tackles a variety of questions: the respect due to human life until its last moments; the real meaning of the expression "dying with dignity"; the importance of accompanying the suffering and the dying, and of contributing to the establishment of appropriate care services; the personal responsibility of each baptized person to become involved in the public debate; the necessity of calling upon elected representatives for legislation that completely respects human life; and the importance of promoting fundamental Christian and human values.

This guide enables workshops to be held in diverse settings: parishes, schools, universities, hospitals, faith-sharing groups, retreat centers, youth groups, study groups, lay organizations, lay ministry formation programs, the conferences of national associations, or even at home among family and friends.

COLF is co-sponsored by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus. It promotes respect for human life and dignity, and the essential role of the family.
