Letter to the Chargé d’affaires and Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran from Archbishop Brendan M. O'Brien, Chairman of the CCCB Human Rights Committee, regarding Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani

Archbishop Brendan M. O'Brien, Chairman of the CCCB Human Rights Committee, has written to the Chargé d’affaires and Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The CCCB is requesting that Iran’s government respect its international commitment to human rights in accordance with Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The letter was written because of the case of Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, who is now in prison but had been condemned to death for converting to Christianity.
