The President and Vice President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) are participating in a solidarity mission to Haiti, organized by the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace (CCODP) from December 14 to 21, 2011. The visit has been scheduled shortly before the second anniversary of the January 2010 earthquake, the worst to hit Haiti in 200 years.

Canadian Catholics contributed more than $20 million to CCODP in response to the disaster. This expression of solidarity by the Canadian population continues with this joint mission by the CCCB and Development and Peace. The following are links to articles and media reports on this mission.

The colours of the web site represent the official heraldic insignia of Bishops. The green corresponds to the galero (ecclesiastical hat) and six tassels on each side that make up the crest and supporters of the coat of arms of each Bishop while the gold represents the processional cross.
