CCCB Presentation to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Health Regarding the Assisted Human Reproduction Act.

The CCCB has made a presentation to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Health regarding the draft legislation The Assisted Human Reproduction Act. The presentation was made by Most. Rev. Terrence Prendergast, SJ, Archbishop of Halifax, and Rev. Ron Mercier, a Toronto ethicist.

Archbishop Prendergast is a member of the CCCB Episcopal Commission for Theology and Chair of the Catholic Organization for Life and Family.

Rev. Mercier is Dean of Regis College at the University of Toronto.

The CCCB represents the Bishops of Canada who have pastoral responsibility for the country's 12.5 million Catholics located in 71 dioceses and eparchies.
