E-mail Print PDF

On the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord this past February 2, the Church again invited all the faithful to celebrate the World Day for Consecrated Life. As part of these celebrations, Pope Francis presided at a Mass in Saint Peter's Basilica, Rome, with many men and women from various religious communities also participating. The Holy See had earlier announced that 2015 will be the Year of Consecrated Life. This information was released on January 31, 2014, by His Eminence Joao Cardinal Braz de Aviz, Prefect of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life.
