Pope Francis and Karekin II - webFrom June 24 to 26, 2016, Pope Francis made an Apostolic Visit to Armenia. It was the first country in the world that officially adopted Christianity in 301. The website of the Holy See provides the main texts of the speeches and interventions by the Holy Father, as well as the archives of photos and video coverage from the visit. To mark this international ecumenical event, the Most Reverend Douglas Crosby, O.M.I., Bishop of Hamilton and President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, and His Grace Bishop Abgar Hovakimian, Primate of the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church Diocese of Canada, issued a joint statement on June 3.
