Dr. Glenn Byer is Director of the Publications Service of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops. He holds a doctoral degree in liturgy from the Pontifical Institute of San’ Anselmo, Rome. His Holiness Benedict XVI was elected Pope on April 19, 2005, becoming the 264th successor of Saint Peter. The Pope performs three roles: he is the Bishop of Rome, Shepherd of the Universal Church and Head of State of Vatican City. |
