crosbyThe Most Reverend Douglas Crosby, O.M.I., Bishop of Hamilton and President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), has sent a letter to the Honourable John McCallum, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada concerning Canada's Private Sponsorship of Refugees Program (PSRP). In his letter, Bishop Crosby thanked the Government of Canada for its efforts in assisting the resettlement of Syrian refugees. At the same time, he draws the Minister's attention to the many ongoing difficulties encountered by the individuals, groups and organizations who have taken up the challenge and have invested many resources to sponsor these refugees.
