crosbyThe Most Reverend Douglas Crosby, O.M.I., Bishop of Hamilton and President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), has sent a letter of appreciation to Father Brian Swords, S.F.M., Moderator of Scarboro Missions, following the announcement of the closing in 2017 of their interfaith department. In his letter, Bishop Crosby expressed, on behalf of all the Catholic Bishops of Canada, "gratitude and appreciation for the work of the Scarboro Missions Society and the many contributions made by your priests and lay collaborators in serving the ministry of interfaith dialogue since your founding in 1918. The Church is, and always will be, called to be a Church in dialogue."
