Ordination of the new Bishop of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière

Goudreault Pierre-webThe episcopal ordination of the Most Reverend Pierre Goudreault as Bishop of the Diocese of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière will take place on Saturday, 10 March 2018, at 2:00 p.m., in Sainte-Anne Cathedral, La Pocatière. His Eminence Gérald Cyprien Cardinal Lacroix, Archbishop of Québec and Primate of Canada, will preside as the principal ordaining Bishop, along with the Most Reverend Yvon Joseph Moreau, O.C.S.O., Bishop Emeritus of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière, and the Most Reverend Dorylas Moreau, Bishop of Rouyn-Noranda, as co-consecrators. The Most Reverend Lionel Gendron, P.S.S., Bishop of Saint-Jean-Longueuil and President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, will be present, along with the Apostolic Nuncio, the Most Reverend Luigi Bonazzi, and other Bishops from Canada. At the time of his appointment on 8 December 2017, Bishop-elect Goudreault was pastor of Sainte-Trinité parish in Rouyn-Noranda, Québec. The celebration will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of the Diocese of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière.
