A Church in DialogueDuring 2014, the Bishops of Canada marked the 50th anniversary of Unitatis Redintegratio, the Second Vatican Council’s degree on Ecumenism, by releasing two documents. The first, entitled “A Church in Dialogue, Catholic Ecumenical Commitment”, defines key terms and definitions, providing an entry to those exploring ecumenism for the first time. The second, “A Church in Dialogue: Towards the Restoration of Unity among Christians”, provides an in-depth presentation of the Church’s commitment to ecumenical dialogue and is intended for those already involved in, and familiar with, ecumenical work.
