The Most Reverend Gérald C. Lacroix, Archbishop of Quebec City and Primate of the Church in Canada, addressed the leaders of male religious orders from the United States during the annual assembly of the Conference of Major Superiors of Men. They were meeting in Nashville, Tennessee, August 7 to 10, 2013. The theme of his intervention was “The New Evangelization: Speaking God to Multicultural Secularism”. Archbishop Lacroix had been a member of the Synod of Bishops on The New Evangelization for the Transmission of the Christian Faith that took place in Rome during October 2012. The Conference of Major Superiors of Men is composed of the leaders of more than 17,000 Catholic religious priests and Brothers in the United State.
