Bishops of Quebec issue statement opposing Bill 52 and euthanasia presented as “medical aid in dying”

In view of the upcoming final vote on Bill 52 by the Government of Quebec, “An Act respecting end-of-life care”, the Assembly of Québec Catholic Bishops (AECQ) has released a statement on behalf of all the Bishops of Quebec and signed by the members of the AECQ Executive. The Bishops oppose Bill 52 which would legalize euthanasia under the name “medical aid in dying”.
