Canadian Religious Conference elects new President and Administrative Council

Michel_Proulx_Prsident_CRC-1On the occasion of its annual general assembly, held in Montreal, May 24-28, 2012, with about 300 men and women religious participating, the Canadian Religious Conference (CRC) elected a new Executive Committee and Administrative Council. Father Michel Proulx, O. Praem., was elected President. A member of the Premonstratensians (Norbertines), he has been prior of his community for four years.

The other members elected to the Executive are Sister Annette Noël, S.P., Vice President, and Father George T. Smith, C.S.B., Secretary-Treasurer. The members of the Executive will be assisted by the seven members elected to the Administrative Council: Sister Anne Lewans, O.S.U., Sister Rosemary Macdonald, C.S.M., Sister Pierre Anne Mandato, S.C.S.M., Abbot Peter Novecosky, O.S.B., Father Alain Rodrigue, C.M.M., Sister Élisabeth Villemure, S.M.N.D.A., and Sister Mary Finlayson, R.S.C.J., Past President.
