Catholic Health Alliance of Canada Announces New President and CEO
Tuesday, April 14, 2020The Catholic Health Alliance of Canada (CHAC) recently announced the appointment of the new President and CEO, Mr. John P. Ruetz. Effective 1 July, 2020, Mr. Ruetz replaces outgoing President and CEO, Mr. Michael Shea.
The CHAC is an alliance of the 14 sponsors/owners representing 124 Catholic health institutions throughout Canada. It also serves as a forum for its members to exchange ideas and develop shared strategic initiatives that support their ability to strengthen the healing ministry of Jesus. The Most Reverend William McGrattan, Bishop of Calgary and Co-Treasurer of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), currently serves as Bishop ponens to the CHAC Governing Council, providing pastoral accompaniment in the fulfillment of their mission.
