CCCB delegation at the 2013 Convention of the Knights of Columbus

KOC_convention_2013The 2013 Supreme Convention of the Knights of Columbus will take place in San Antonio, Texas, August 6 to 8. The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) will be represented by its President, the Most Reverend Richard Smith, Archbishop of Edmonton; its Vice President, the Most Reverend Paul-André Durocher, Archbishop of Gatineau; and its Co-Treasurers, the Most Reverend Douglas Crosby, O.M.I., Bishop of Hamilton, and the Most Reverend Lionel Gendron, P.S.S., Bishop of St-Jean-Longueuil. The CCCB President will address the convention. Other Canadian Bishops who will be present include the Most Reverend Gérald C. Lacroix, Archbishop of Quebec City, who will speak at the  inauguration of the new Immaculate Conception Marian Prayer Program of the Knights of Columbus.

The Knights are generously involved across Canada in many projects and forms of service with their local community, parish and Diocesan Church. At the national level, the Knights of Columbus assist a number of CCCB activities, including collaborating with the Conference in support of the Catholic Organization for Life and Family (COLF).  The Most Reverend Noël Simard, Bishop of Valleyfield, is the Chairman of the COLF Board.

The Canadian Catholic television channel, Salt + Light TV, will be at the 2013 Supreme Convention to broadcast live its main events.
