CCCB receives recognitio from the Holy See for the publication of the Ritual Lectionary

The Canadian Conference of Catholics Bishops (CCCB) has received recognitio from the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments for its English-language Ritual Lectionary. The English Sector Commission for Liturgy and the Sacraments is now overseeing the preparations by the National Liturgy Office for publishing the CCCB Lectionary for Mass: Ritual Masses, Masses for Various Needs and Occasions, Votive Masses, and Masses for the Dead. This will also allow the final work to get underway on the Canadian English edition of a Book of Gospels. As approved by the Holy See, the Ritual Lectionary will follow the same principles and approach as used for the CCCB Lectionary for Sundays and Solemnities.
