Christian Witness in a Multi-Religious World

Thursday, November 17, 2011

On November 22, 2011, 1:00 – 4:30 p.m., at Victoria College of the University of Toronto, there will be an event highlighting the document “Christian Witness in a Multi-Religious World: Recommendations for Conduct”, prepared by the World Council of Churches, the Pontifical Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue, and the World Evangelical Alliance. The Toronto event is supported by a number of organizations, including the Commission for Christian Unity, Religious Relations with the Jews, and Interfaith Dialogue of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops. The theme is “How do Christians engage in mission and witness with respect among people of different faiths?”

The event will include panels presenting a variety of perspectives on the document and its implications for the Canadian context, as well as opportunities for participants to share their experiences and responses.
