Monday, October 19, 2015In a report published on October 15, 2015, Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) comes to the conclusion that if the exodus of Christians from Iraq continues at current levels, the faithful could all but disappear within five years. The report is entitled Persecuted and Forgotten? A report on Christians oppressed for their Faith, 2013-2015. ACN is one of the organizations involved in the joint fundraising campaign aimed at involving all the Church in Canada to assist Syrian refugees seeking shelter and protection in the Middle East and parts of Europe. The Bishops of Canada have endorsed and supported the joint campaign, which also includes the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace and CNEWA Canada.
