Christmas Message from Chaldean Patriarch of Iraq

Shortly before Christmas, the organization Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) received a message from the Chaldean Patriarch of Iraq. In its news release, ACN writes that “this message reflects directly what Patriarch Louis Sako ascertains about the situation of Christians in Iraq: a political and social context where the religious freedom of those who have remained – an estimated 200,000 – is in grave danger. Even in areas where the Iraqi government should be protecting them.”
