COLF Message for the 2015 National Week for Life and the Family

On the occasion of the National Week for Life and the Family, May 10 to 17, 2015, the Catholic Organization for Life and Family (COLF) joins Catholics from across the country and the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) by releasing the message “The family accompanies the dying with love” In its Message, COLF recalls that “in light of the recent judgment of the Supreme Court of Canada relative to the issue of assisted suicide, it is appropriate that we turn our attention to the call of the family to draw near to the dying, and, indeed, to any who suffer, and accompany them with love.” The Week for Life and the Family is a CCCB initiative that dioceses promote or adapt according to their own specific needs, resources, and pastoral priorities.
