Death of Father Pierre Allard, S.M., formerly with the Canadian Appeal Tribunal

Father Pierre Allard, S.M., died this past Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at the age of 74. Born on November 9, 1938, in Québec, he joined the Marist Fathers and was ordained to the priesthood on December 18, 1965. In addition to being a Judge on the Canadian Appeal Tribunal of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, he served as its Judicial Vicar from 1999 to 2003. He also exercised pastoral ministry in the parishes of Saint-Sébastien and Notre-Dame-de-la-Présentation in Ottawa and was a professor at the Dominican College in Ottawa. The funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 9, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint-Michel-de-Sillery Church, Québec (Sillery). Interment will follow at Saint-Michel-de-Sillery Cemetery.
