Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie Elects Diocesan Administrator

Subsequent to the installation of the Most Reverend Marcel Damphousse as Coadjutor Archbishop for the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall on 16 June 2020, the College of Consultors of the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie elected Msgr. Jean-Paul É. Jolicoeur, P.H., as Diocesan Administrator on 18 June 2020 as required by Canon Law (c. 421 §1). Beginning his mandate immediately following the election, Msgr. Jolicoeur will ensure the proper functioning of the Diocese until the appointment of a new Bishop.
