Food crisis in West Africa (Sahel)

Staff from Development and Peace and a team from Salt + Light TV were recently in West Africa, in the Sahel region. During their visit, they witnessed the food crisis there and how Development and Peace is responding with the help of its local partners. The situation in the Sahel can be seen in a new Salt + Light video, On the Brink: Hunger in the Sahel. Over 18 million people are suffering from food shortages in West Africa. The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops and Development and Peace have made a joint appeal for help.
