Installation of the new Eparchial Bishop of the Chaldeans in Canada

The Most Reverend Emanuel Shaleta will be installed as Eparchial Bishop of the Chaldeans in Canada at Good Shepherd Chaldean Cathedral, North York, Ontario, March 4, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. The Most Reverend Ibrahim N. Ibrahim, Eparchial Bishop Emeritus of Saint Thomas the Apostle Eparchy, Detroit, together with the Most Reverend Luigi Bonazzi, Apostolic Nuncio to Canada, will lead the celebration. When he was appointed Eparchial Bishop of the Chaldean Catholic Eparchy of Mar Addai of Toronto by the Holy Father on January 15, 2015, Bishop Shaleta was then parish priest at Saint George Chaldean Catholic Church, Shelby Township, Michigan. He was ordained Bishop in Iraq on February 6 in Saint Joseph Chaldean Cathedral, Baghdad.
