Monday, October 29, 2012

The Standing Committee for Relations with Movements and Associations of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) has sent a message to Canadian Catholic national movements and associations to mark the Solemnity of All Saints. The Bishops who are members of the Committee are the Most Reverend Luc Cyr, Gary Gordon and R. Anthony Daniels. In their message they point out that the “commemoration of all the saints in heaven is a reminder of the universal vocation to holiness and of the destiny held in store for the faithful followers of Christ.” The message also refers to the Second Vatican Council, as well as to the Year of Faith which began on October 11, 2012.
