Pope Francis to attend World Meeting of Families

Pope Francis will travel to Philadelphia from New York on September 26, 2015 to attend the World Meeting of Families. While in Philadelphia, he will preside at the Mass in the Cathedral Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul, visit Independence Mall, and also visit the World Meeting’s Festival of Families. On September 27, he will meet at St. Martin’s Chapel with the Bishops who are participating in the World Meeting, visit the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility, and preside at the Mass which officially marks the conclusion of the 2015 World Meeting of Families. Prior to his departure for Rome, he will meet with the organizers, volunteers and benefactors who were involved in the World Meeting.
