Pope Francis welcomes CCCB delegation in private audience

crosbyPope Francis gave a private audience on December 13, 2013, to the delegation from the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) which was in Rome, December 3 to 13, for the annual meetings with the offices of the Holy See. The CCCB  delegation was led by the Most Reverend Douglas Crosby, O.M.I., Bishop of Hamilton and CCCB Vice President, and also included the Most Reverend Lionel Gendron, P.S.S., Bishop of Saint-Jean-Longueuil and CCCB Co-Treasurer, and Msgr. Patrick Powers, P.H., CCCB General Secretary. Unfortunately, because of a minor temporary health problem, the Most Reverend Paul-André Durocher, Archbishop of Gatineau and CCCB President, was not able to participate in this year’s visit.
