Posthumous tribute to Cardinal Turcotte

The Dominican Pastoral Institute, Montreal, will be awarding an Honorary Doctorate in Pastoral Theology to the late Cardinal Jean-Claude Turcotte, Archbishop Emeritus of Montréal, on September 2, 2015. By being awarded posthumously, as part of the inauguration of the academic year, it is hoped this will inspire all those who are preparing for and being formed in the pastoral ministry. The Institute is associated with the Dominican University College of Ottawa which was founded 115 years ago. This is also the year that the Order of Preachers (Dominicans) celebrates its 800th anniversary. Over the centuries, it has become a great spiritual family of thousands of priests, Brothers, Sisters and laity around the world.
