Salt + Light TV wins 2016 Gabriel Award as Religious Television Station of the Year
Friday, June 3, 2016During the 51st Catholic Media Conference of Canada and USA which is taking place this week in St. Louis, Missouri, Salt + Light Television has received its sixth Gabriel Award, this time for Religious Television Station of the Year. This prestigious award was presented by the Catholic Academy of Communications Professionals of North America during the awards ceremony banquet on June 2, 2016.
“On behalf of our board of directors, our staff and interns in Toronto and Montreal, I accept this honor once again for Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation Network as a tribute to our late founder, Gaetano Gagliano, who left us at the age of 99 this past spring,” said Father Thomas Rosica, C.S.B., CEO of Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation. “His bold, visionary leadership enabled and ennobled us to offer the flavor of the Gospel and the light of Christ to Canada and far beyond over the past 13 years” continued Father Rosica.
Since 1965, the Catholic Academy of Communications Professionals has honoured works of excellence in film, television and radio programs. The Catholic Academy addresses commercial and religious broadcasters, producers, and filmmakers to produce films and programs that serve and enrich the community.
