Symposium at Laval University to mark the 30th anniversary of Saint John Paul II’s visit to Quebec City

Colloque 30e JPII QcTo marking the 30th anniversary of the visit of Saint John Paul II to Quebec City in September 1984, there will be a symposium at Laval University on September 13, 2014, on the theme Jean-Paul II à Québec : Pour une guérison de la mémoire (“John Paul II in Quebec City and the healing of memories”). Guest speakers at the French-language symposium include the Most Reverend Christian Lépine, Archbishop of Montreal, Ms. Anne Leahy, former Ambassador of Canada to the Holy See, Father Thomas Rosica, C.S.B., Chief Executive Officer of Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation, and two well-known Canadian theologians, Father Gilles Routhier and Father Jean-Marc Barreau. On September 12, the French-language version of the drama on marriage and the family by Saint John Paul II, The Jeweler’s Shop, will be presented at the inauguration of the Observatoire Justice et Paix (“Observatory for Justice and Peace”).
