The Most Rev. Pierre-Olivier Tremblay Appointed Bishop of Hearst­-Moosonee

Today, at 12:00 p.m. Rome time, the Holy See Press Office announced that His Holiness Pope Francis appointed The Most Rev. Pierre-Olivier Tremblay, O.M.I., as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Hearst-Moosonee, transferring him from his current pastoral duty as Auxiliary Bishop of Trois-Rivières.

The Diocese of Hearst­-Moosonee has 30 priests (diocesan and religious), 25 parishes, and  a Catholic population of 26 155.
