Interreligious Dialogue

National Muslim/Christian Liaison Committee

On the basis of a common belief in one God, living and subsisting in Himself, merciful and all-powerful, the Creator of heaven and earth, the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB), through its Episcopal Commission for Christian Unity, Religious Relations with the Jews, and Interfaith Dialogue and its other bodies or offices, maintains a longstanding relationship with Muslim leaders across Canada, including the Canadian Council of Imams. In addition, the CCCB, through its officially appointed representatives (Bishops and/or others), is one of the many national religious organizations participating in the National Muslim Christian Liaison Committee, which since 1971 has endeavoured to promote cooperation and respectful dialogue on matters of mutual concern between Muslims and Christians in Canada.
