2006-2007 Liturgical Calender Now AvailableSunday, September 24 2006
(CCCB – Ottawa) The Publications Service of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) has just released the Ordo or Liturgical Calendar for 2006-2007, an important reference tool for Catholics in Canada.
The Liturgical Calendar is both a calendar and guide, full of helpful information for the daily celebration of the Mass and the Liturgy of the Hours. With its easy-to-read design and detachable pages, it is a valuable planning resource for the preparation of all celebrations.
The 2006-2007 edition is an important reference for pastors, liturgy committees and anyone who prepares the liturgy, or is involved in a music ministry. This resource offers detailed explanatory notes and information for each day, from the beginning of Advent 2006 to the end of Ordinary Time in 2007.
This compact 384-page book includes references and useful information for liturgical celebrations for every day of the year. Major national celebrations, World Days and proper feasts for different dioceses across Canada, including the anniversary of the dedication of the cathedral, feast of the patron saint of the diocese, and the anniversaries of the episcopal ordination of the bishops are also listed.
Pastoral notes at the beginning of the book contain an abundance of useful information and practical suggestions. Also included are a variety of ideas that can help release the dynamic power of the liturgy, and guide the faithful in their daily life.
The Ordo 2006-2007 Liturgical Calendar may be ordered at a cost of $13.95 (plus shipping and tax) through CCCB Publications at 1-800-769-1147, by fax at 1-613-241-5090, email at firstname.lastname@example.org , or online at www.cccbpublications.ca.
