Beatification of Pope John Paul II is announced

The Congregation for the Causes of Saints of the Holy See published today a decree, signed by His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, which attributes a miracle to Venerable Servant of God, Pope John Paul II and announces his beatification for May 1, 2011.
