In a letter issued on the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Lourdes, 11 February 2022, Pope Francis entrusted the responsibility for planning and celebrating the Jubilee Year 2025 to the Most Reverend Rino Fisichella, president of the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization.  From that day tremendous work has gone into developing resources and planning events for the celebration.  For more information on the Ordinary Jubilee Year 2025 – Pilgrims of Hope, please visit the Jubilee Office website.

Key Dates

Here, you will find a list of key dates during the Jubilee Year 2025, including the opening of the Holy Doors at St. Peter’s Basilica and the three additional papal basilicas in Rome. Of special note is the celebration that will take place on December 29th in Cathedrals and Co-Cathedrals around the world.

Jubilee Prayer

The official prayer of His Holiness Pope Francis for the Jubilee Year allows the faithful from all over the world to use the same words to express gratitude to God and request the grace of forgiveneness.

Jubilee Hymn

The Jubilee Hymn reflects themes of the Jubilee Year, including creation, fraternity and hope which are woven into the text written by Pierangelo Sequeri and set to music by Francesco Meneghello.  Pilgrims are invited to sing the Jubilee Hymn as they set off on their Pilgrimage of Hope.
