CCCB Guidelines
Protecting Minors from Sexual Abuse: A Call to the Catholic Faithful in Canada for Healing, Reconciliation, and Transformation is a document of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) unanimously adopted by the Bishops of Canada on 27 September 2018 during their annual Plenary Assembly. Replacing the CCCB’s previously existing guidelines (From Pain to Hope, 1992; Orientations, 2007), it reflects the latest laws in Canada, the norms and expectations of the Holy See promulgated before the date of publication, as well as the input of numerous experts and, above all, victims-survivors.
The document contains four major components: 1. Lessons Learned, 2. Recommendations, 3. Guidelines, and 4. Resources. The full document can be downloaded in PDF format or purchased through CCCB Publications.
