Archbishop Richard Smith of Edmonton issues statement in support of Private Member’s Motion M-456, calling for national end-of-life strategy

The Most Reverend Richard Smith, Archbishop of Edmonton and former President of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, issued a statement on May 7, 2014, in support of Private Member’s Motion M-456, calling on the federal government to establish a national strategy for palliative and end-of-life care. The motion is expected be debated again in the House of Commons this coming May 14.
